this residential building - with the most un-imaginative name - has been in the neighbourhood gossip, for more reason than one over the past few months. for some reason, i’d have the bamboo scaffolding permanently put up. it adds some texture to the facade.

rock, layers of soil, roots, a tree that’s still standing, sheeting and an apartment building; all seen from the depth of a construction site @ carmichael road

the society where we are put up at is undergoing some repair work. the ropes in the image are used along with a pulley to manually hoist up buckets of cement to plaster the external walls. the workers use the bamboo scaffolding to move on the sides of the building.

gigantic new residential complexes coming up in the central areas of the city. clicked this near mahalaksmi railway station. these houses will have a fabulous view of the racecourse, and the sea beyond.

got done with the ad viva yesterday. i was sent in as the first candidate, and the viva lasted for an hour. it went quite well. and i’m quite happy with the way the sheets turned out.

photo is of girgaon, the site for the first ad site. and my best design project, so far :) this particular wadi, from what i hear, has been torn down and is making way for a residential building. much as we’d like to let things remain as they are, change is inevitable…

didn’t manage to post anything over the last week, coz of viva work, and all the moving-packing at home. also missed posting on the CDp theme day, though i had registered for it. sorry folks….

my apartment building has a bright red colour internal service shaft. i don’t know who chose the colour, but i quite like it…
the curved profile jutting out is the refuge floor on the 8th level of the building. the temporary bamboo platform created below it is giving the structure a very heavy-duty monstrous appearance.
